How a 23-Year Fire Service Leader Turned a Published Team-Development Methodology Into a Live Demo and a Four-Tier SaaS Priced From $19 to $749 a Month

Johnny Torgeson had a book, a methodology, a speaking calendar, and no software. Prospects could read about the six phases of forging a team; they could not try it or buy it. Epiphany Dynamics built a locked-down public demo embedded on the marketing site and, behind it, a paid application with accounts, subscription billing, team management, seat controls, and an AI knowledge base. It is live with four public pricing tiers.

What a department gets
  • 01 Accounts

Every seat gets its own login, created and managed inside the product.

  • 02 Billing

Subscription billing per plan, so a department pays for the seats it actually uses.

  • 03 Team management

Departments, teams, and crews created and organized by the people who run them.

  • 04 Seat controls

Seat limits enforced per plan, from a single seat to 75, custom above.

  • 05 AI knowledge base

The diagnostic experience draws on a knowledge base built from the methodology.

The methodology

The method replaces the old forming-storming model, which treats team development as a line with an end, with six cyclical phases: chaos, controlled chaos, erratic, identity, acceleration, regeneration. A crew does not pass through them once and graduate. It cycles.

The software carries that framing. The diagnostic places a group, a crew, or a team in the cycle and names what the leader can do from there, which is why the product sells by the seat to fire departments and public-safety agencies rather than as a course.
